in the news this saturday morning, october 29. documentary filmmaker visits occupy demonstrators. some plan to demonstrate the police department. and a woman is accused of shoplifting and she says it's all a misunderstanding. >> we're talking 30s north bay 50s around san francisco. everyone in the 70s this afternoon. >> good morning, i'm terry mcsweeney. >> some occupy oakland demonstrators plan to march tonight to protest against the use of force by the police department against them. they are getting a morale boost from michael moore. tomas ramon reports. >> occupy oakland!

it begins at justin hermann plaza. last night the protest group ignore each other. >> the occupy movement is active in the north bay this weekend. occupy petaluma holds a rally at noon on kentucky street across from bank of america where they plan to picket home foreclosures and they are prepared to go to jail in santa rosa. they will try to establish a tent city but police will try to prevent that encampment. >> a weekend turned into an embarrassing incident for a supervisor. now more on the arrest and her version of what happened. >> mary hiyashi was busted at neiman marcus. she is now charged with stealing $2500 worth of clothes. >> they followed her on video.

they have video of her and they made an arrest. >> the security agents watched the assemblywoman and waited for her to exit the store before detaining her. she has since turn to public relations consultant sam finger. he says this is a big mistake. >> she was trying to do too man things at the same time. she had several cellphones. she went to have a snack at the cafe she failed to purchase the items. realized that something was wrong but before she had the opportunity to go back and correct her own mistake security was there. >> finger said his client would speak to us but she hasn't responded so far. she posted $15,000 bail on sunday and pleaded not guilty before a judge thursday afternoon. ironically the assemblywoman is married to alameda county superior court judge dennis hiyashi. for the second time this year a popular san francisco bar

has caught suspected criminals on surveillance tape. lucky o'doul's bar shows them walking away from a jewelry store. a female employee chased the thief down the street. a drawing was stolen last july and the suspect pleaded guilty to the crime yesterday. a bailbonds man was shot to death at a. 3,000 bakers were at the cemetery when he was killed. today's funeral is by invitation only and expected to be much smaller and the time of the event is kept confident zblrbl we first told you about tri-valley university back in january. federal agents claimed it was a front for illegal up immigration. hundreds of students are caught

in the middle and now face deportation. here is lisa amin gulezian with the details. >> these students invested time add money and futures in tri-valley university. the pleasanton campus shut down january 19 after i.c.e. agents raided the school calling it a sham university and academy as a front for illegal immigration. they expected to graduate in tri-valley in may 2012 and he and others are facing deportation. all the student visas are now invalid. applications for review are due wednesday. if the requests are denied the students will have to leave the country immediately. >> it's a big deal. i was expecting my life different but this is in the gutter now. >> before they will consider reviewing the application students have to show tran skrichts book receipts and i.d.

for the spring semester but the school closed in january. they are representing 20 students. she blames federal agencies for falling short on oversight. >> that the school had grown so quickly and exceeded the charter and why wasn't anybody there to investigate how was it possible. >> i.c.e. started investigating it months before the raid and it didn't take tri-valley off the list of approved universities for international students until late march which meant students kept inrolling. an i.c.e. person spoke to me it couldn't change until the school had a chance to contest the allegations. coming up next green graffiti the company that is leaving its mark with a high pressure hose but is it legal?

necessarily legal. it's in a gray zone. >> from a distance it might look like paint or stickers but this ad on a sidewalk is actually made of nothing. >> we put down a stencil in a dirty spot. we pressure watch the lettering and there is the clean advertising. >> advertising by cleaning otherwise known as reverse graffiti. >> if you write watch me on the back of car it's reverse crafz. >> jim started green graffiti and gave us this video as his company cleaned ads all over europe. it's a subtler alternative. >> we're not using any paper. >> in fact from start to finish the whole thing is done with water. >> here it goes. >> the pressure is so high the stream is moving it's about

>> those sidewalk ads get covered over by a few weeks. people don't walk on walls. >> this is the first in four years and still here. >> almost. the green works logo has been wiped away. he had a permit to create create a mural but he didn't have a permit for outdoor advertising. >> is there any circumstance where you were allowed to put them there? >> not yet. >> they are free of what it calls graffiti. >> it's unpermitted work that is put on buildings or public right of way. >> that is where it gets tricky. >> we're not applying it to the surface. >> so far he has never gotten in trouble because most governments including san francisco have no laws against cleaning. >> we're going to be investigating and taking a look what is in the code it falls

it's not going to be that long. here is lisa argen. >> we have the cold temperatures and high humidity but we will warm up quite nicely. heavenly not only is it clear but numbers dropped in the 20s. no snow in the forecast for the week ahead unfortunately but we do have an early season storm we'll talk about for the north beach. closer to home we have the golden gate bridge nice morning with 50s here downtown. we are a cool start in the north bay. numbers there in the upper 30s still. so we have another week of late sunrises. friday the sun comes up at 7:38. after that it takes until about 9:00 to recover but around the bay we're pretty mild. 50s in redwood city with half moon bay 45 degrees. right around today we'll be in

the 70s so chilly in the valleys and dry conditions for halloween and beyond. this morning waking up to clear sky, no fog to speak of. we'll see 70s widespread throughout the bay and into the sacramento valley. the fog will be moving up to san mateo coast tonight. sea breeze increases so that will bring the changes for the second half of the weekend. take a look at this. we're talking a foot of snow in interior new england. a heavy wet snow along the coast. guts at this winds and because of all those leaves are still on the trees we could have power outages right through sunday morning. it's going to move up the coast and encompass upstate new york new york city philadelphia airport delays. we just have above sunny mild weather for days and days. with this our trough to the north of us, it will affect us

there was a question whether we would be world series and now we've got it. >> i'm so glad to be part of it. >> what a great series. >> a scare for cal basketball coach mike montgomery who had surgery for bladder cancer. the operation deemed a success and warriors coach says he is cancer free. montgomery made the receive laces in los angeles. 64-year-old coach says doctors had told him he had a high grade bladder cancer but they caught it just in time. monte had surgery on october 19. after rest and recovery he is prepping for the upcoming season on monday. >> on i've got no limitations. it's a matter of gaining your strength back and being a hundred percent. >> he has three months to go six months from now you would be done if you hadn't found it. the timing couldn't be better.
